Typically a 4 prong, 50 amp plug is what you will use for a power source. Keep your distance from the power supply as close as possible. Water is connected with a standard hose connection either through a potable water hose or buried water line with proper connections. Sewer can be tied and is just like an RV.

An ADU, or an Accessory Dwelling Unit, is a home that is built on your own property, not subdivided and used as a full-time rental or guest house. This home is an accessory to a primary dwelling.

Yes, a THOW has a bathroom.  To save space, there may not be a bathroom vanity or sink. 

No, a THOW is considered a recreational Park Trailer. The state of North Carolina does not recognize these as permanent dwellings.

Yes, you can permit a tiny house on a foundation. Your home can be as small as 200 square feet with at least 1 room no less than 120 square feet and a minimum ceiling height of 7 feet.  All hall ways will be required to be minimum of  36″ and any actual stairs will have to built to code.

With Current delays in materials, timelines are all over the place.  Typically, a 400 sf. home on a foundation usually takes approximately 6 months to build after permits are ready. A THOW will take approximately 4 months to build.
